Statement

I paint, construct book works and make assemblages which are inspired by the Wiltshire landscape, the rural countryside and the passage of human intervention upon it. My work reflects the journeys made through the months of the year which often concludes in themes such as motif and pattern, or describes pathways and tracks, prohibition and access, or darkness and light.

I experience these journeys by gazing, observation, making sketches and taking digital images which help connect self to the landscape by living in and passing through time and space - a cyclical process which connects and re-connects with experience, exploration and image making.
